We are looking for creative and enthusiastic people to join our tight-knit team of cake artists and pastry chefs in creating our unique custom cakes each week.
We have multiple Full and Part-Time positions available for Bakers, Cake Decorators, and Frosting Makers. Tell us what you can do and we’ll find a place for you on our team!
Our main claim to fame is our crazy sculpted and special occasion cakes which have been featured in the Boston Globe, CNN, and on Food Network. We also have a cafe out front where we sell our cakes, cupcakes, pastries, and coffee and tea every day. We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic people who enjoy waking up early to play with sugar and flour and who thrive on making something new and different every day.
Baker duties include morning bake-off (arrive 5-6am), baking of custom cake orders, baking cake and cupcakes and all pastries to fill the store display case, restocking, and prep for the next day’s bake-off. Everything we sell is baked on-site from scratch.
Decorator duties include filling, frosting, and decorating our Gourmet buttercream cakes and cupcakes both for custom orders as well as stocking the store display case. Advancement up to decorating more elaborate fondant-covered designs is possible for the right person.
Frosting Maker duties include whipping up all our hand-made frostings on-site and from scratch fresh each week. We make all our own Marshmallow Fondant and use Italian Meringue Buttercream for all our cakes.
Our bakers and cake artists are given lots of artistic freedom in coming up with new flavors and cake designs to add variety to our weekly offerings.
