Job Summary

Maintains an organized, safe and clean Culinary Center. Organizes workstations with appropriate equipment and raw materials. Responsible for food preparation/cooking. Prepares R&D sample shipments.

Roles and Responsibilities

Maintains a neat, sanitized and organized Culinary Center, including kitchen, pantry, cooler & freezer space.

Maintains par levels of stock items to ensure a high level of quality through rotation, labeling and storage.

Requisitions & records usage of raw materials/ingredients as needed

Responsible for setting up kitchen equipment each morning; gathers recipes and necessary raw materials

Keeps the culinary team supplied with clean and sanitized equipment, and raw materials throughout the day

Assists with cooking and/ or batching a recipe, under supervision

Manages sample inventory & record keeping for all development samples.

Stocks bins, packs, records, and ships all development samples Orders products and sets up soup tastings for clients

Additional responsibilities as needed.


Works under close supervision and has little or no decision making responsibility. Position is not responsible for influencing the decisions or actions of others.

Position has indirect contact with customers on matters of little impact on revenue.

Position has little or no impact on revenue, actions and results are subject to review or inspections.

Decisions or actions have a limited impact on the business – typically within a department.

Errors are usually detected through routine verification/review, but may result in some work flow disruption or repetition of work.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Position is not responsible for supervising or influencing the actions of others.

SKILL REQUIRED High School diploma or GED required.

Requires one – three years of experience On-the-job training of 3-6 months.

Must be proficient with MS Office programs, specifically Excel and Outlook.

Physical Demands/Efforts

Work requires occasional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds

Willing and able to stand for long periods of time Mental & Visual Demands

Work performed by this position requires moderate mental concentration to effectively execute moderately complex tasks.

Work requires continuous visual effort for extended periods of time.

Work Environment and Hazards Employee works in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to heat/cold, dust, or other factors that may require protective equipment and still pose a hazard. This position has regular exposure to hazards that could result in significate injury and lengthy loss of time at work.
