Job Title: Food Packer

Responsibilities:

Collaborative Packing:
● Work closely with the packing team in an assembly line style to prepare and package food items according to event orders and specifications.
● Ensure that each packaged item is correctly labeled, portioned, and assembled as per the event requirements.

Large-Scale Food Packaging:
● Assist in the packaging of food items in bulk to meet the demands of large catered events.
● Coordinate with the packing team to maintain consistency in portion sizes and presentation.

Quality Control:
● Check for quality of ingredients on packaged food products, ensuring they meet the company’s high standards for freshness, appearance, and taste.
● Report any discrepancies or concerns to the packing team lead or supervisor.

Time Management:
● Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines, as events may require quick and accurate food packaging.
● Support the team in maintaining a smooth and timely workflow.

Food Safety and Hygiene:
● Follow strict food safety and hygiene guidelines throughout the packaging process to ensure food integrity and safety.
● Maintain a clean and organized packing area at all times.

Inventory Management:
● Assist in monitoring and replenishing packaging materials to ensure an uninterrupted supply during plate-ups.

Adaptable Support:
● Be prepared to provide support in other areas of the catering operation as needed, such as assisting with food preparation or setup.

Requirements:
● Previous experience in food packaging or a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
● Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision, especially during high-pressure events.
● Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
● Physical stamina to stand for up to 8-10 hours and lift heavy containers as required.
● Team player with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the packing team.
● Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on catering event schedules.
