What we’re looking for:

·        A strong visual aesthetic.

·        Basic understanding of cooking and knife handling skills.

·        Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures. ServSafe Certified preferred, but not required.

·        Previous experience cheffing catered events preferred; but will train the right individual.

·        Professional communications skills are required.

·        Ability to take direction.

·        Ability to read and understand basic recipes and cooking directions.

·        Ability to work in a team environment or independently.

·        Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

·        Must be self-motivated and organized.

·        Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.

Working Environment:

This position will spend 100% of the time standing. The individual must be able to transport up to 35 pounds. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.

Job Expectations:

·        Must adhere to Forklift Catering’s commitment to sustainability in all areas, and aid in the efforts to be an environmentally conscientious caterer as written in the official Sustainability Policies.

·        Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License with clean driving record, preferred but not required.

·        Willingness to drive a van, preferred.

·        Always promote Forklift Catering in a positive and professional manner.

·        Maintain and present self with a friendly, positive and professional attitude.

·        Treat all Forklift employees fairly and with respect.

Pay Range: $25.00-$32.00
