About the Job

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the food industry to staff our pop-up retail location at The Holiday Market at Snowport, located in Boston’s Seaport district.

This position is in Boston’s seaport district and walkable from South Station commuter rail, T subway stations, and bus stops.

This is a seasonal job running from November 11th – December 31st, and can be part-time or full-time. Hours vary by day, and are listed at the end of this posting.
Your primary role will be to provide friendly customer service and complete sales of our craft vinegars from our booth at the Snowport Holiday Market. You will educate consumers about our vinegar varieties, production and sourcing practices, and cooking techniques.

No market stall set-up is required for this location. This is a semi-permanent holiday village hut and will be fully set-up and ready to vend.

The ideal candidate is:

–  Friendly, positive and comfortable interacting with customers. Previous customer

service/retail experience a big plus but not required
–  Interested in learning about vinegar and our company story & values
–  Able to multitask efficiently and work independently
–  Knowledgeable of general food safety (ServSafe and/or Allergen Awareness Certification is

a plus but not required)
–  Responsible and dependable
–  Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and willing to follow our company COVID policies

You may be required to occasionally move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. While our vendor booth has supplemental heating, you should be comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

The Holiday Market at Snowport is a pop-up holiday village at the Boston seaport with semi permanent huts that will house the region’s best craft producers. Our hut will have heating and electricity but will have an open air side that is open to the shopping village boulevard and customers.

Compensation

$20 hourly compensation plus a daily transportation allowance.
