Day-to-day food preparation, food delivery, and top-notch customer service.
Routine cafeteria operations as well as monthly gatherings and other meetings/events.
Menu planning, kitchen and dining room clean up, inventory monitoring and restocking, reviewing incoming orders and supplies.
Some monitoring of key equipment such as ovens, refrigerators, freezers and coffee machines is required.
Work with various vendors and occasionally manage the ordering process.
Individual may specialize in specific food service activities (e.g. baking) in addition to carrying out other food preparations and delivery operations in order to best match individual Chef skills to the needs of the kitchen.
2-4 years of experience in a food service/hospitality environment required.
Cleanliness and a presentable, customer friendly demeanor to other staff and employees is key.
Once properly trained, candidates should be able to work under minimal supervision.
Flexibility and willingness to jump in and assist other team members will be required.
Time management skills are critical as deadlines are tight and meals are time sensitive
Availability to assist with the hosting of occasional after-hours events preferred
