CSCA Bakes for Breast Cancer with Boston Bakes
Boston Bakes is part of a larger national campaign that features desserts from the greatest chefs, pastry chefs and culinary artists in town. Bakes for Breast Cancer raises money for breast cancer research one sweet at a time through dessert-oriented events. Their grassroots nonprofit organization has one goal: to end breast cancer in our lifetime. They believe anyone can help make a difference by baking, buying or selling, a dessert with a purpose. The 20th Annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer took place at participating restaurants and bakeries during the week of May 6 – May 12, 2019.
On Saturday, May 11 from 10am – 12pm, CSCA sold Mother’s Day themed sweets at an open house at our school. All of our sweets were prepared by CSCA chef instructors and staff and included decorated cupcakes, taro mochi doughnuts, macarons, caramels, and several varieties of cookies.
100% of the $1,600 raised is to be donated to breast cancer research and care. This was our first ever spring bake sale and we’re thankful to everyone who came out to help us make this event a success!
