Each session lasts approximately 2 hours and includes a tour of the classrooms and kitchens. If you can’t make it for an Information Session, one of our team members will be happy to give you a private tour at a time that best suits your schedule. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and are considered on the basis of their transcripts (High School or GED, or College), two letters of recommendation, a personal statement, resume and personal interview. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend an open house and tour the school before submitting application materials. Out of state applicants may request a telephone interview if unable to attend an interview in person. Foreign applicants must be fluent in English. A standardized admissions test or TOEFL may be used at the discretion of the admissions office. Acceptance is determined approximately 1 – 2 weeks following the interview. All applicants are notified by mail. Program Costs September 2008 Professional Chef's Program Admissions Costs Application Fee : $ 45.00 Tuition: $ 23,120.00* Textbooks: $ 290.00* Class Materials: $ 470.00* Supply Kit, Uniforms: $ 950.00* Total $ 24,875.00 September 2008 Professional Pastry Program Admission Costs Application Fee : $ 45.00 Tuition: $ 23,120.00* Textbooks: $ 240.00* Class Materials: $ 470.00* Supply Kit, Uniforms: $ 995.00* Total $ 24,870.00 The $45.00 application fee is non-refundable *Prices subject to change. Tuition may be paid in full, by halves, or quarters. Our payment plans are interest free. Financial Assistance We do not offer financial aid. However, CSCA has a  loan source that  provides low interest loans to qualified students. Our source is a  financially secure public company that provides students and parents with a number of affordable options to help defray the costs of education. To be eligible for a loan: You must have a good credit rating. Generally, your monthly debt payments should not be more than 40% of your gross monthly income. You must have a U.S. social security number. You or a co-applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible permanent resident. If you are interested in either of these options you can contact our Loan Office and set up an appointment to do an on-line application. The following is a list of organizations that students may contact for scholarship information. • The Alumni Association, The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, Kit Campaign Scholarship The Alumni Association Kit Campaign Fund donates the cost of an equipment kit to eligible applicants each admissions period. The number of scholarships awarded is subject to admissions period. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and submit application by the deadline. Kit Scholarship Application Deadline for September 2008 admission: August 1, 2008 • National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation The Foundation expects to award more than $1 million dollars in scholarships for the 2002/03 school year.
